During her interview on EXTRA with Mario Lopez, she talked about the movie and her new role on the Lifetime movie “Twist of Faith.” Braxton plays the role of a single mom by the name of Nina. She attends church and is a choir singer who suddenly finds herself falling in love with a songwriter named Jacob who found his way to their small town in Brent, Alabama.
Jacob Fisher (David Julian Hirsh) is the songwriter who Nina (Toni) falls in love with after he drifted to their small town. Jacob is an Orthodox Jew who was living in New York with his family, but then witnessed the murder of his wife and children. He then walks away from his life of pain, moving from New York and drifts his way to the small town, Brent, Alabama where he’s embraced by Nina and the community. Music brings Jacob and Nina together while they work towards trying to get Jacob through his painful past and on to a possible future together.
